Apply for a Trade Work Permit

When Trade Work Permits Are Required

A Trade Work permit (i.e. a permit for a project with only one trade) is required for the installation, extension, repair, or alteration of any plumbing system, heating or cooling equipment system, or electrical wiring, appliances or equipment. Types of work covered under this permit include (but are not limited to) the installation, replacement, or repair of:

  • Heating and cooling equipment
  • Water heaters
  • Generators
  • Irrigation systems
  • Water or sewer lines
  • Emergency power restoration
