Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation maintains the grounds and the Town's records for four local cemeteries. Two of our Chapel Hill Cemeteries are historical cemeteries with deep cultural value to the community.

This is an 0.25-acre historical slave cemetery located at the cul-de-sac on Greenwood Rd.
This cemetery is located between Fordham Blvd. (US 15-501 Business) and Legion Rd., west of Scarlett Dr.
Formerly known as the Jay Street Cemetery, this cemetery is located near Village Dr. and Jay St., adjacent to the Village West neighborhood.

We manage sales for Town cemetery plots and for the Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery columbarium only. We no longer sell cemetery plots in Old Chapel Hill Cemetery, but they may be available by private lot holders.
