What is Blueprint 2035?

Blueprint 2035 is Chapel Hill Transit's roadmap for improving service over the next decade. This update builds on the 2020 Short Range Transit Plan and considers how changing travel patterns, community needs, and upcoming projects will shape the system's future. Our goal is simple: create a transit network that is reliable, accessible, and responsive to everyone who lives, works, studies, or travels in Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

This planning process includes three phases, and your input guides each step.

Phase 1

This phase has ended, we'll see you in Phase 2.

We want to learn:

  • Your transit priorities—frequency, hours, coverage, reliability, and access to key destinations.
  • How different service tradeoffs would affect your daily life.
  • What a better Chapel Hill Transit system looks like from your perspective.

We Need Your Help!

Whether you ride every day, once in a while, or not at all, your voice helps us design a system that works for the entire community.

Everyone’s experience matters. We want to hear from students, commuters, seniors, families, UNC employees, shift workers, local businesses, new riders, and longtime riders.
