The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit offers to establish one or more contracts to provide professional janitorial services, including labor, equipment, and supplies at the Chapel Hill Public Works Campus, the Post Office and Courthouse Facility, and the Chapel Hill Town Hall.
A mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM EST in the Operations Large Crew Room at Chapel Hill Public Works, 6840 Millhouse Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27516. Attendance at this meeting is MANDATORY if you wish to submit a proposal; failure to attend the meeting will disqualify the proposal. A tour of each facility will follow the meeting. We will provide transportation by bus to the Chapel Hill Post Office and Courthouse Facility and Chapel Hill Town Hall.
Questions concerning this Request for Proposals (RFP) must be submitted in writing no later than 2:00 PM EST on October 26, 2026, to Mack Howell, Chapel Hill Public Works via e-mail at mhowell@chapelhillnc.gov. All responses to submitted questions will be emailed via an addendum to the pre-proposal conference attendees on October 30th, 2026.
All submittals must be emailed to the Purchasing and Contracts Manager, Lenore Bishop, at lbishop@chapelhillnc.gov. Proposals must be received by 2:00 PM EST on November 6th, 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.
