Swim Lessons
We offer a variety of swim programs at our indoor pools year-round, including swim lessons for all ages, a non-competitive recreation swim team, and a competitive summer swim team.

Swim Lessons
Our lessons are for all ages and skill levels emphasize water safety, skill and stroke development.
- Each session is in a twice-a-week, 6-lesson format.
- $60 per session for residents
- $75 per session for non-residents
Parent Child (6 months - 3 years)
This session requires a parent to be in the water with the child.
We'll teach safe behaviors around the water and develop swimming readiness by leading you and your child in water exploration activities.The objective is for your child to have fun and become comfortable in, on, and around water.
Preschool 1 - Introduction to Water Skills (3 - 5 years)
For children with little or no previous water experience and who can separate from their parents without crying.
We'll teach your child basic water skills and how to feel comfortable in the water.
Preschool 2 - Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills (3 - 5 years)
Child must be able to fully submerge their head and blow bubbles from their mouth and nose.
Participants will build on the skills learned in Preschool 1 and begin developing basic independent aquatic locomotion skills.
Preschool 3 - Stroke Development (3 - 5 years)
Child must be confident in the water, able to submerge and blow bubbles, retrieve objects from bottom, glide and float without assistance, and swim three body lengths on their own.
We'll guide your child in improving their skills.
Learn to Swim Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills (6 - 12 years)
For children who have little or no previous water experience and can separate from their parents without crying
We'll teach your child to feel comfortable in the water and introduce basic water skills: submerging faces, blowing bubbles, and floating with assistance.
Learn to Swim Level 2 - Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills (6 - 12 years)
Child must be able to submerge completely, retrieve objects from the bottom, and float without assistance.
We'll teach your child basic swimming skills.
Learn to Swim Level 3 - Stroke Development (6 - 12 years)
Child must be able to float independently, fully submerge and blow bubbles from mouth and nose, and swim three body lengths independently.
We'll continue to guide your child to improve their skills.
Learn to Swim Level 4 - Stroke Improvement (6 - 12 years)
Child must be able to tread water for one minute, do a kneeling dive, and swim 15 years freestyle (with rotary breathing) and backstroke.
We'll help your child gain confidence, improve their stroke, and gain additional aquatic skills.
Adults - Learning the Basics (13+)
This sessions will focus on floating, kicking, basic arm movement for freestyle/front crawl, breathing, treading water and gaining confidence in the water.
Adults - Learning and Refining Swim Strokes (13+)
These Adult Intermediate lessons will focus on refining technique, learning additional strokes, diving, flip turns and increasing endurance.
Fins Recreational Swim Team
To join the swim team, you must have passed Level 4 swim skills. No previous swim team experience is required to join our team as we will work with students on learning lane etiquette, using a pace clock, and all the other skills that come along with being on a swim team. The team is a great way to meet other youth in the area while exercising. Focus is placed on improving technique, endurance and speed.
Cost:
- $160 for Residents
- $192 for Non-Residents
Penguins:
This group is designed to work on endurance and some skill technique. Practicing with this group will develop swimmers into the next level of our program. Skill requirement: Tread water for 1-minute, do a kneeling dive, and swim 15 yards freestyle (with rotary breathing) and backstroke.
Otters:
This group is designed to have basic endurance already and focuses on skill technique and refinement while naturally building endurance. This is a great group for anyone looking to join a league swim team. Skill requirement: Legally swim 25 yards of 3 out of the 4 strokes. Standing dive. 1-minute tread.
Practice Times:
Monday and Wednesday evenings. Times vary between 5:15pm and 8:15pm depending on level. Check out our brochure here for more information.
