The Chapel Hill Police Department is hosting National Night Out at the Hargraves Center in the Northside Neighborhood. The free community event will take place on Aug 4, 2026, from 6-8 pm with food, games, and fun.
National Night Out is an event that strengthens relationships between the community and law enforcement. It promotes connections between neighbors and officers helping to build trust and maintain a true sense of community.
“National Night Out provides a wonderful opportunity for officers and community members to come together and build relationships outside of crisis situations,” said Asst. Police Chief Paul Bell.
Other town departments will also be on hand for residents to learn more about the services they provide.
“We’re always working to build a safer community and one of the best ways to do that is by knowing our neighbors and the places we share. National Night Out helps us do that in a big way,” said Police Chief Celisa Lehew.
