NCDOT is scheduled to begin resurfacing NC 86 between Estes Drive and Franklin Street on Monday, June 1. The work stretches through the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd./S. Columbia St. corridor and should wrap up by the end of July.
If you’re traveling in the area, expect some overnight delays. Crews will work Sunday through Thursday, from 7pm to 6am. NCDOT is asking everyone, no matter how you get around, to take it slow and be careful in the work zone.
