Our Virtual Report Unit is available to help you make certain non-emergency police reports by phone, in-person at the police department headquarters, or online at any time. If you need immediate assistance or need an officer to respond, call 911.
Call 919-968-2760. The line is answered Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If you leave a voicemail your call will be returned within the day, however, if you need a quicker response, please call 911.

You may file certain police reports online. When you make a report online, we will review your information. If we need more information, we will contact you. Please be as accurate and detailed as you can. Within three days, you will receive a case number and final report by email.
You can view incident and arrest reports online using the Report Center. Not all reports may be available on this site. If you need assistance, please call the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760.
