Court Use Guidelines

Based on community response and staff evaluation of our recent shared-use pickleball pilot program, we've developed a plan to increase outdoor public pickleball courts.

Parks and Recreation staff will continue to evaluate and update schedules as necessary.

Court Use Guidance

· Temporary pickleball lines will remain on tennis court #4 until permanent blended/dual lines are added later this spring.

· Tennis players have priority at all times on all tennis courts. if tennis court #4 is unused for tennis, it may be used for pickleball.

· Pickleball players must immediately vacate the court if tennis players wish to use it.

Court Use Etiquette

Courts should be used based on posted time limits.

· Tennis players currently have priority on all tennis courts until the evaluation period ends and a new priority schedule is posted.

· Never walk behind a court when a point is still in play. Wait until the point is over, and then cross as fast as possible.

· Never ask players to move from a court in which they have priority.

· Anyone can use shared courts until a player from the sport with priority time arrives; at that time, players should relinquish the court immediately.

· Tennis players should seek to fill tennis courts #1-3 first and pickleball players should seek to fill pickleball courts #1-6 first prior to either group using tennis court #4.
