Town holiday

Friday, April 3, is a Town holiday. Most Town offices will be closed. Some facilities will also be closed on Sunday, April 5. Please plan for the following service and facility changes:

Trash Collection

There's no change in residential trash collection.
Crews will not collect yard trimmings on Friday, April 3. They'll collect them on your regularly-scheduled day the following week.
Crews will not collect commercial trash on Friday, April 3. They'll complete collections earlier in the week.

Orange County Recycling Collection

Orange County will not collect curbside recycling on Friday, April 3.They'll collect it on Saturday, April 4.
The Orange County Waste and Recycling Centers, Landfill, Solid Waste Administrative Office, and all related services will be closed Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5.
Their administrative office will also be closed Saturday, April 4.

Chapel Hill Public Library will be open on Friday, April 3, but closed on Sunday, April 5.

Chapel Hill Transit will operate Sunday schedules on Friday, April 3. EZ Rider will run 8:15 a.m. to 6:52 p.m. The 420 route will operate.

Parks and Recreation

Friday, April 3:

Facilities open on Friday, April 3, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Homestead Aquatic Center and Nate Davis, Sr. Gymnasium.
Facilities closed on Friday, April 3: Parks and Recreation administrative offices, Community Center, Hargraves Community Center, and the Corner Teen Center.

Sunday, April 5:

Facilities open on Sunday, April 5, 12 - 5 p.m.: Homestead Aquatic Center
Facilities open on Sunday, April 5, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Nate Davis, Sr. Gymnasium.
Facilities closed on Sunday, April 5: Parks and Recreation administrative offices, Community Center, Hargraves Community Center, and the Corner Teen Center.

Public Housing's administrative office on Caldwell St. will be closed on Friday, April 3.
