Business Announces Headquarters, Expansion with Town Incentive

Eight years ago, a sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill founded a business called EATS2SEATS. Now, the company plans to relocate its headquarters to downtown Chapel Hill and create new jobs as it grows its operations.
EATS2SEATS is leveraging an economic development incentive the Town Council approved at its meeting Wednesday night. The incentive is a parking credit that provides up to 10 parking spaces for five years and depends on the company creating 41 new jobs in town. The new headquarters will be at 462 West Franklin Street.
"This is a tremendous win for Chapel Hill,” said Mayor Jess Anderson. “It’s important to us that the businesses that start here continue to grow and thrive here. It's a perfect example of how we can work together to foster innovation and support job growth in our downtown."
EATS2SEATS is a concessions and vending company operating within collegiate and professional sports and entertainment venues. Its unique technology allows fans to easily order food and beverages for contactless delivery at their seats.
The jobs coming with the EATS2SEATS headquarters are expected to pay an average of more than $122,000 per year.
"These innovative, high-paying jobs, are a direct investment back into our community,” said David Putnam, the Town’s Economic Development Director. “We appreciate EATS2SEATS and our Town Council’s collaboration on an agreement that helps our downtown thrive.”
