Our Crisis Division was established in 1973 as one of the earliest examples of law enforcement and human services professionals working together. Over the years, we've expanded to a team of more than a dozen professionals offering a wide range of crisis response services.
Co-Responders
Our co-responders are crisis counselors who respond to calls with police officers. They provide mental and behavioral health support and connect community members to resources.
CARE Team
This mobile unit responds without officers to mental and behavioral health issues, substance use, and intellectual developmental disability related needs. The CARE Team is a partnership with Orange County.
This program helps people pay off their criminal justice debt so that they can work toward financial stability and independence. Debt assistance is considered for:
Post-conviction court fees and costs
Deferred prosecution court fees and costs
License restoration fees
Fines and restitution payments imposed as part of sentencing aren't eligible for the fund.
