Pursuant to Section 143-131 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the Town of Chapel Hill is requesting bids from qualified contractors for three (3) separate construction projects involving the construction of North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) standard curb ramps. These projects include installing the associated crosswalk striping, installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), installation of modular pedestrian medians, installation of green paint, installation of tubular markers/flex posts, and other varying elements depending on the location.
An optional pre-bid conference will be held on September 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM over Microsoft Teams. All potential bidders are hereby notified that attendance to the optional pre-bid conference is not required for bid submittal.

The Project Manager for this project is Bergen Watterson, Planning Department, Town of Chapel Hill. All requests for interpretations related to this RFB must be submitted in writing to the Project Manager at bwatterson@chapelhillnc.gov by 5:00 PM on September 15, 2026. All responses to timely submitted requests for interpretations will be published in the form of an addendum on the Town’s website on September 17, 2026.
Bids must be emailed to Lenore Bishop, Purchasing and Contracts Manager at lbishop@chapelhillnc.gov, by September 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Late bids will not be accepted.
